It was the first robot to be described as a 'clone' of Mortis. Armed with a pickaxe, it competed in the featherweight competiton, but lost out to Demolisher after breaking down. Ripper was the only of the four robots in its battle to not be a converted RC car. Team Ripper later entered Series 3 with Ripper's Revenge.

Ripper, due to an uncharged battery, didn't move more than a few centimetres. This prompted Matilda to 'destroy it'. Demolisher fought with Armadillo, and the veteran from Series 1 was awarded the victory by the judges.
