Tut's Revenge

Tut's Revenge was a robot that entered Series 3 of Robot Wars. Shaped like an Egyptian pyramid, it had a general Ancient Eyptian theme to it- it was named after the legendary Pharoah Tutankhamun, and featured hieroglyphics on the back which translated as "health, life and power". The team and mascot (now named Tutankamouse) wore Ancient Egyptian costumes, and had previously entered Robot Wars in Series 2 with Mega Hurts. It was protected by 2mm thick steel plate, took £500 and 8 weeks to build, and had two pneumatic rams that could act dually as flippers or hammers as its weapons, which could in theory self-right the robot if it was flipped over. However, it was swiftly flipped over and immobilised by Berserk 2 in Round 1, despite its self-righting mechanism. After a long break from Robot Wars, the team returned with new and improved versions of Mega Hurts in Series 6 and Series 7.

Robot History

Series 3

Tut's Revenge started by driving straight into the arena wall. Berserk 2 drove up to Tut's Revenge and got underneath the pyramid shaped robot and flipped it over. It tried to self right but its lifting arm only suceeded in putting itself on its side. Tut's Revenge was eliminated from the competition, and then pushed into the Pit of Oblivion.
