Diotoir4

One of my favourite images EVER!

Ah yes another blog about the competitor and its appearances in battles, however after Toast's Behemoth ranking I had thought of doing one on the other competitors. First it was Razer, but I felt I'd be repeating myself with "robots being crushed is awesome and the fights are great" for a lot of them. Then I thought, how about Firestorm? A robot whom I feel is quite overrated but still enjoy, its battles I have mixed feelings for, I even had a notepad with all the fights but I found it difficult to truly rank it without feeling like I should move a fight up one or down one, so that was out. Along comes Chaos 2, another robot I like but sadly it's a flipper bot and one that I feel have a lot of "samey" battles, which would feel repetitive. For a while I sat there thinking of what I wanted to do. Then Toon Ganondorf decided to rank Thermidor's battles and then it hit me, why not do a robot who's had a varied history, one that is different each time, one that I many years ago named myself as and regret doing so (seriously I REALLY should change my username but I might end up deleting stuff like NJGW) This being Team Nemesis.

From beginning to end, Team Nemesis has had a varied history and so I will go through every battle, trial and gauntlet to decide its best stuff, from worst to best. Like with Toon's list this is based on the robot's performance and NOT the battles themselves, there are great fights lowered because of either Nemesis or Diotoir's performance, so just be warned.

I will also discount the Terror Australis Nemesis fights because technically, it's not Nemesis or Diotoir it's Terror Australis.

35th Diotoir vs Bolt From the Blue vs Ming 2 (Series 4)[]

Refbot diotoir boltfromtheblue

Hey look it made to the Ultimate Warrior!

In dead last is this, the worst moment in Diotoir's existence. When Series 4 was being aired, one of my most treasured possessions was the Series 4 "Ultimate Guide" book, which I would obsessively attempt to redraw the robots from the book, it was there I fell in love with Diotoir. It was so cool and vibrant compared to the others and it had personality...imagine my very young disappointment in seeing a Diotoir with no armour appear and getting flipped immediately. This battle is decent for Ming getting a quick flip but this is Diotoir's worst. Firstly, it was stripped and looks a pathetic sight, then we find it dead from the get go with no signs of life getting flipped in just about five seconds in where it can't self right and it barely gets torched! It's just a travesty this fight and what sucks even more is that the Series 4 Diotoir is so beautiful to look at with its official image being one of my favourites ever and to see it stripped down and die so quickly and rather pathetically is just sad. It's made worse by its brilliant Series 3 performance and the fact that Heat C was a pretty drab Heat that could have used some fun. It really is Team Nemesis' worst moment.

34th Diotoir & Rabid M8 vs Terrorhurtz & Sabretooth (Series 10)[]

Terrorhurtz vs Diotoir

Imagine waiting all these years for this...

Some may disagree with this being so low down but I really hate this fight and this is for me one of the most disappointing fights ever. Again, this is a situation where the hype for Diotoir is met by a swift blow (quite literally!) Imagine waiting years to see Team Nemesis reappear, imagine being the one to ask Team Nemesis on Facebook whether we'll see Diotoir in 2016 to be told "Maybe" then it having no contact, but that inch of hope that we'll see that fur brained machine. Then imagine a year later, seeing people taking photos of the robots during Series 10 and seeing Diotoir! Then imagine the absolutely gut wrenching and disappointment of watching it get killed off immediately... It's a bad battle but made worse by how the one robot loads of people, such as myself, were looking forward to see get knocked out in one hit...My God just imagine if it were knocked out here and that was it. The fight is made worse by its partner doing nothing as well, I mean it would still rank low but the fight could have been saved somewhat by Rabid doing something, even if it meant running away for the whole fight :/

33rd Diotoir Sumo (Series 4)[]

DiotoirSumo

Well that sucks

Series 4 really wasn't Diotoir's year was it? This Sumo is painful, Shunt drives forward and shoves Diotoir off in 3 seconds. What sucks even more is that Diotoir could have had a chance here, it was heavy built and the control could have meant it have stayed for slightly longer, but that wasn't the case...It annoys me even more that other machines were given a benefit for doubt with Kater Killer being allowed to hang on the edge despite doing poorly. Just a sad attempt really, so much so that it puts shade on the Nemesis performance in Series 1...

32nd Nemesis Gauntlet (Series 1)[]

NemesisS1Gauntlet

Literally the only interference in this gauntlet run

Next up is Team Nemesis’ first ever appearance and...yeah it's basic. Nothing can really be said, Nemesis literally goes in a straight line with little to no interference from any of the House Robots. It just goes in a straight line and completes the gauntlet, not particularly interesting or has any real value, congrats for completing it but there was no problem or action that really took place...it’s kinda dull.

31st Diotoir vs Razer vs Flensburger Power vs The Revolutionist (Extreme 1)[]

Diotoir vs flensburgerpower

The only shot of Diotoir beating Flensburger Power

This battle really upsets me. The whole Second World Championship saddens me. It’s short, barely a minute long and yet so much action and all these great robots are hardly given a chance to shine. Flensburger Power and Diotoir suffer the worse. As Razer tackles The Revolutionist, Diotoir kills off Flensburger Power...except we don’t see that. Then Diotoir nudges Razer before being grabbed and held over the flame pit in the last 10 seconds of the fight, being the only robot, aside from Razer to survive. However, this supposedly “close fight” is edited so badly that we don’t see around 80% of it, we don’t see Diotoir that much except for the end and Flensburger Power barely existed! It’s just Razer and The Revolutionist, and even then it’s half the fight that actually happened off screen! Of all the fights that need the raw uncut edition, this is certainly one of them!

30th Diotoir vs Spawn Again (Series 5)[]

Spawn Again vs Diotoir

When I get the chance I wanna replace this with the eyes popping out

Diotoir has faced many flipper in head to head battle, but of all the head to head flipper fights this is the worst one. Points are added here for Diotoir reaching the Heat Final, but sadly this brilliant run is squashed by a really quick and unimpressive fight. Spawn Again flips it over easily, then struggles to pit Diotoir before conking out where Sgt. Bash lights Diotoir up slightly and that’s pretty much it. In other fights Diotoir at least attempts to fight back and isn’t taken out instantly, this on the other hand is quick and not a good quick. It’s painful seeing Spawn Again struggle to do the task of pushing a dead robot in the pit and then dying, it’s awful. That said, Diotoir’s performance getting here and even the moment where it self rights but the eyes shoot off comically does save this fight. Plus it catches fire.

29th Diotoir vs Shear Khan vs Panic Attack (Extreme 1)[]

Diotoir displaying Panic Attack

ahem! Gentlemen

Another case of Diotoir is forgotten about and the concentration is on another robot, this being Panic Attack this time. Panic Attack’s onslaught on Shear Khan is alright, but the tiger doesn’t really offer much. Meanwhile, Diotoir, who comically has a picture of Panic Attack on their scoop, is in the background attempting to burn the picture, we get one cut to this and back to Panic Attack. Diotoir quite literally bumps into Panic Attack in a way that feel like it was saying “Hey, I’m in this fight too!” Panic Attack then topples Diotoir and that’s it.Not much Diotoir action, which is a shame but at least there’s some comedy value with the picture :P.

28th Nemesis Skittles (Series 2)[]

Nemesisskittles

Beyblades

The trials are not very interesting in general, there are few that I can remember being really fun. The pinball, the British bulldog and the featherweight race are all great, the skittles is not as much… It’s literally a robot charging forward and knocking over barrels, often getting stuck and then failing to move afterwards, of course we then get the House Robots ruining their run. Nemesis enters the arena with bandages, which is hilarious in itself, giving the robot some personification. Nemesis heads into the barrels and spins before being set on fire. A decent run but a very mundane trial.

27th Diotoir vs Depoppesaurus Rex (Series 3/International League)[]

Diotoir vs Depoppesaurus Rex

Sure it secured a KO this time but it's no FWC

Series 3 finally appears! Diotoir vs Depoppesaurus Rex in the First World Championship is tight but really enjoyable, this isn’t so much...Diotoir is great in the fight, able to be aggressive and fight Depoppesaurus Rex quite well, but it just feels empty. I guess watching the FWC first spoils this second encounter as we already know Diotoir can beat Depoppesaurus Rex quite effortlessly, and this second encounter doesn’t feel as good, especially as Diotoir is quick to flip it over and leave it for dead. A decent effort but it does leave me wanting more.

26th Nemesis vs Onslaught (Series 2)[]

Nemesis Onslaught

A great fight dashed by a random breakdown

The kebab is just brilliant! I love it, and the fight is pretty decent as well, albeit spoilt by one factor...Nemesis’ weak breakdown. The fight is all on Onslaught’s wedge and pushing power, but combined with Nemesis’ fun design and silliness. The fight starts off really good and sets up to be a great one...but then Nemesis breaks down randomly and Onslaught simply rams and pits them, which underwhelms what could have been a really decent rawn out clash.

25th Diotoir vs Razer (Series 3)[]

Razer vs Diotoir

Had the batteries been charged I feel this would have been an awesome fight

Speaking of breakdowns. This fight is great because Diotoir is in the final for a competition! It’s against Razer, which is also great! It once again starts off really well, Razer gets some great crushes in and Diotoir pushes back the best it can. Everything is going really well and could go all the way, becoming a major Robot Wars classic (technically it still is) but then Diotoir breaks down and the fight is over very quickly. Yeah... disappointing. Had the batteries been charged, I am so bold as to say, I believe this would have been one of the best fights in this special...a special that's really pointless the more I think of it.

24th Inferno Insurrection (Series 2)[]

Inferno insurrection

Burn baby burn!

This is an amazing exhibition, robots are set alight and carnage is to be had, so why is this amazing and hilarious exhibition 24th? Two major factors, 1) The length of the "fight" is very short and 2) It's not really a battle. Nemesis get cooked and it's a literal blaze of glory but at the same time, it feels like it should have had some sort of goal in mind. Fighting Sgt. Bash and or having a stockbot with a flame thrower battle the two flammable to see who would last the longest, despite the damage? I mean it's still great, but there's no real competition behind it and it does suffer because of this...and it's really short, there's only so much you can have when having a demo where all you do is set a robot on fire. Still brilliant though!

23rd Diotoir & Pussycat vs Bulldog Breed & Robochicken (Extreme 2)[]

Matilda vs diotoir

Just LOOK at this and tell me this ain't brutally awesome

It hurts putting this at 23rd because it’s a brilliant fight! Bulldog Breed dominates and gets two quick KOs with a fantastic OOtA against Pussycat. However, as we’re basing these fights on Team Nemesis themselves...this is pretty lame for Diotoir. Diotoir does nothing and gets flipped, that’s it. Now why have I ranked it higher than other examples? Simply put, the fight overall is really good, and for Diotoir this has one excellent attack, one that maybe one of the most brutal attacks in Matilda send Diotoir into the air, destroying the wedge on the front and almost splitting the whole chassis in half (serious look!) this attack combined with one of the eyes disintegrating as it is smashed (unless that white stuff was the CO2 but still it’s an awesome effect to show the devastation!) makes it just awesome to watch. Sure I’ve technically ranked this based on the Diotoir abuse but it’s just so devastating and visually brilliant!

22nd Diotoir vs Dome (Series 5)[]

Diotoirdome

Dome beat Vader and Diotoir beat Dome, therefore Diotoir is better than Vader and would be able to beat it easily

A very simple fight this but it gets the job done. Dome was a jokebot, just like Diotoir, however this very basic fight is a decent demo for Diotoir to show off its flipping and pushing skills, creating an excellent display. However, this is a very basic and over and done with fight, by far from the weakest in the Heat (that goes to Sabretooth vs Evolution) but its close and does show Diotoir being a powerhouse...even if anything could beat Dome (except Vader lololololol)

21st Diotoir vs Fire Storm (Series 3)[]

Dead metal vsDiotoir

Give us a smile

I really love this episode and this fight isn’t too bad, Hell it’s even one of my popular battle uploads so clearly it’s loved. Sadly, Diotoir is dead from the get go, however what certainly saves this fight is once again, Diotoir abuse. Diotoir is flipped pretty beautifully by Firestorm then it’s sent onto the flames, and what’s brilliant here is just how the flames direct itself through the smile, creating a flaming smile, awesome. Dead Metal gets stuck in and gets caught itself. The Diotoir is taken to the floor flipper to give it the piece de resistance to this epic Happy Tree Friends esc destruction. Plus Diotoir coming back to life after the flips makes it all the more funny.

20th Nemesis Gauntlet (Series 2)[]

Nemesis s2 flamepit

I'm amazed it only singed the robot

One of the more entertaining Gauntlet runs out there and certainly miles better than the Series 1 run. As mentioned before the Series 1 run was a simple straight line dart to the finish....and that was it. This one the other hand is more difficult. Nemesis struggles to push forward and is lit in a blaze of glory. Unlike last time, it actually had to fight and push back to complete the journey, which feels more rewarding.

19th Diotoir vs Sting (Series 3)[]

Diotoir pits sting

To be fair, Sting was a low tier Series 3 robot

This is like the Dome fight, it's a simple victory against a robot that almost any other competitor (save for a few) would easily beat. However, unlike the Dome fight, this battle has significant importance and for that importance it has ranked higher. You see this isn't just Diotoir's first EVER battle but it's Team Nemesis' first ever victory. Before this fight, Nemesis had only won the trials and gauntlet, but battle wise it always failed, here, on the other hand Diotoir is forced to fight, no gauntlet, no trials (thank God!) only battle and honestly Diotoir really does a good job with control and aggression a great start but there's other examples from Series 3 that's much, much better!

18th Diotoir vs Wild Thing (Series 4)[]

Diotoirceleb fire

Gotta love the goofy decor they have here

Okay, so maybe this is a bit high but there are quite a few different factors that helped it here. For one thing, this is the first and only time in Series 4 that Diotoir is fully built in battle and not in a side event. Diotoir wins and it catches fire, this alongside the commentary does make this a good Diotoir fight (just not that good of a fight in general) The fight has a major problem, Wild Thing sort of just dies with no real defeat, what I mean by this is that Wild Thing sort of kills itself and Diotoir wins by doing nothing...yeah. That said, Diotoir's victory and the House Robots attack made for a great visual and entertainment.

17th Diotoir vs Pussycat (Series 4)[]

CelebDiotoirvsPussycat

That moment when you realise that Diotoir actually gave Pussycat a scare

Pussycat was an absolute beast of a robot, a truly terrifying threat to all the opponents it faced with no robot really having an easy time with Pussycat. Even Chaos 2 struggled with Pussycat...however of all the robots to cause problems with Pussycat it just so happened to be Diotoir! This fight is arguably the best fight from the Celebrity Special, and it is certainly the best. It's not as staged nor as annoying as other fights, so why has it ranked lower than the Gemini fight? Well, Diotoir dies very quickly in this fight and as a result it's quite short. However, the fact that Pussycat gets stuck on the glasses and the fur clogs up the blade makes for that and the battle is pretty decent. Diotoir does its best but is ultimately defeated, and sadly it's defeated very easily.

16th Diotoir vs Gemini (Series 4)[]

CelebGeminivsDiotoir

Official and making it out to be better than it is

And of the three Celebrity matches this is the best Diotoir centred fight. Gemini gets off to the best start, flipping Diotoir in an impressive fashion as Diotoir begins to catch fire, creating some excellent visuals. Diotoir even gets flipped onto Sgt. Bash! Diotoir, does keep fighting though, albeit with little impact, which does bring this fight down a peg. Diotoir, however, pulls off a "surprise" win against Gemini as it manages to pit and get rid of the Gemini twins in a "surprising" twist, which does (if you're not in the camp of it's so painfully and obviously staged then...) seem really impressive and something to be proud of, but unlike a certain other turn around, this one is less impactful and less of a fight, feeling more random of a win.

15th Diotoir vs Behemoth (Series 3)[]

Behemoth Diotoir 1

Awesome visuals

Another great fight hindered by Diotoir's action, or lack there of. This is Team Behemoth's favourite fight and it is a great fight but if we're judging this by Diotoir's actions alone it is severely dropped down a few places. Behemoth gets some brilliant lifts and topples Diotoir all over the place with the flames catching Diotoir. However, Diotoir is never truly defeated and keeps coming back for more only to get flipped. So yeah, the length of the battle, Diotoir beng active depite not doing much does save this slightly.

14th Diotoir Pinball (Series 4)[]

DiotoirPinball

For some reason this image always makes me laugh

The last of the Series 4 era and for me personally and objectively, the best Diotoir performance in the main competition. This an excellent pinball run and I absolutely adore it! That said, it is an extremely slow start. The pinball run doesn't really get going until after Diotoir hits the car bumper by which point, time is running out fast. Diotoir is freed and proceeds to go straight for everything in sight, which results in it carrying a bowling ball on its "head" and it catches fire. It's an entertaining run, one of my favourites from pinball (a side event I love anyways) but it had a very slow start.

13th Diotoir vs Firestorm (Extreme 1)[]

VengeanceFirestormDiotoir

Maybe the best inferno we got

Okay so I won't lie, I do forget about this battle from time to time. So if I forget about it so much why is it high 13? Well, simply put it does offer some major Diotoir factor/moments. Firstly, whilst staged completely, has some humour to it with Team Nemesis calling Firestorm "girlies" in a magazine jab and proceeding to sabotage the competition. Diotoir is the villain of this tale and getting what's coming for it. But here's thing, unlike Series 3, it actually pushed Firestorm back! Firestorm struggles to get a flip in as Diotoir swerves around and does its best. Sadly, the fight is short lived as Firestorm topples it, flips it back over, then topples it some more. Then we get, what is probably one of the best Diotoir infernos ever. Diotoir is not only torched by the Flame Pit but also by Sgt Bash. The funny thing is Diotoir is righted again and keeps fighting before being bullied some more. It's a fun fight but it feels short and the drama is just cringeworthy.

12th Diotoir vs Apollo (Series 10)[]

Diotoir vs apollo fireflip

Got a bit of a Giffy here

Some people will be very upset with this being 12th but the same sort of reasons apply here. This is a decently 7/10 fight at best, I must admit I was always disappointed in this, I really wanted more, and that really is the big defector here, it could/should have been more. The fight isn't really a fight either, Diotoir drives over the flame pit on purpose, then Apollo struggles to get a flip in before getting the right spot, throwing a flaming Diotoir in the air. It pushes Diotoir before getting a flip that strands the fur brain machine, Apollo then attacks the House Robots. What sucks is that Diotoir doesn't really fight, it just gets chucked about, I'd prefer a match where it lasted all the way, yes it would be a flip fest but it could have made this better. That said, it is visually stunning and is a million times better than Diotoir's previous match...The flaming Diotoir in the air will never get old and for a final battle it is really really good, but as a Diotoir fight...yeah. Diotoir gets a few attacks in, I mean a few scrapes with the disc but I feel Team Nemesis knew they were gonna lose and decided to go out with style, which in a way they did, and entertainingly so. One thing I never really understood is why the House Robots didn't save Diotoir, I mean the way it was stranded, they could have swiped it to free them... but I guess the UK needed to win and Apollo attacking Sir Killalot was enjoyable.

11th Diotoir vs Wheely Big Cheese (Extreme 1)[]

Wheely big cheese vs diotoir

Of all the fights that need more images, this is certainly one of them

One of Extreme 1's best battles and one I absolutely love. It just misses out on the top 10 because, well, Diotoir does go out very quickly BUT that isn't the whole fight. Firstly, Diotoir actually flips and causes problems for Wheely Big Cheese! Sure it only flipped the flipper, but still! Then we have Diotoir getting a eye removed by the wheels of Wheely Big Cheese before being thrown into the air. Diotoir, obviously can self right and is counted out, but it is "wrongfully" attacked by the House Robots who end up tipping Diotoir back. We then get a brilliant cat and mouse game with Dead Metal as Diotoir has this "tail" that drags across the arena. This fight is pretty much similar to the Apollo fight (it even has the same House Robots!), except WAY more in that Diotoir still has moments after the immobilisation and the fight is pure fun. But yes it has to be 11 because Diotoir did get flipped very early on, but thank God for the House Robots!

10th Nemesis vs Roadblock (Series 1)[]

Nemesis vs roadbloack official

Shiny and red all over

In the top ten now, it's getting harder to decide/place. But here at no. 10 is Nemesis vs Roadblock. This is an important fight as this is Nemesis' first battle ever AND it's the first battle EVER in Robot Wars. A really good clash as well, for the time, with both robots going all the way, however, it is 100% Roadblock dominance. Nemesis doesn't really get real attacks in but it does survive the clash even when the fur is torn and the armour dented, it keeps on fighting and fighting, which is great to see. Nemesis eventually catches fire...slightly and the fight ends prematurely, which does kinda suck but it's a great fight and a great performance. Plus the rather comical fall from Derek Foxwell, tripping over the arena wall was funny.

9th Diotoir vs Cerberus (Series 3)[]

Diotoir Cerberus 1

It's like the Dome fight except more memorable

Next up is Cerberus vs Diotoir. After Mauler's removal, Cerberus fought Diotoir in its first battle. Here, Cerberus gives Diotoir some trouble at first but Diotoir certainly dominates, slamming Cerberus against the side wall and then Diotoir manages to flip, once then twice before then comically getting its "nose"/flipper up Cerberus' ass. The two are locked before Diotoir gives a final flip and throws Cerberus over and out. As Cerberus is neutered by Sir Killalot, Diotoir is chased and set alight by Sgt Bash. It's a really fun fight and one that shows Diotoir's weaponry in Series 3 at its best, dominating Cerberus throughout, whilst having some difficulty. It's a great Diotoir fight and enjoyable fight in general.

8th Diotoir & Pussycat vs Spawn Again & Comengetorix (Extreme 1)[]

Diotoir Comengetorix

This is Diotoir singlehandly dominating Spawn Again and Comegetorix...I repeat! This is Diotoir singlehandly dominating Spawn Again and Comegetorix!!!!

The first of the Tag Team battles (well second if you count Extreme 2) and this fight is one of Extreme 1's finest. Here, Diotoir's partner is swapped out with Pussycat and Pussycat offers some brilliant attack, eve if at one point it is in trouble. But what about Diotoir you may ask? I can safely report that Diotoir certainly dominates well here, in fact (spoilers for the other tag team fights) I dare say this has the LEAST amount of Diotoir input. Diotoir still does a lot, flipping both Spawn Again and Comengetorix, dominating both at some points but it is mostly Pussycat that does the real KO work. That said, the idea that Diotoir could easily take on two machines that are objectively superior robots that could easily have taken Diotoir out, makes room for a really great surprise and an overall fun fight.

7th Nemesis SUMO (Series 1)[]

Nemesis shunt

A jokebot beating the best House Robot...

I'm surprised how highly this has ranked but it really was a stand out Team Nemesis moment, with it being the only competitor in the Heat to fully kill off Shunt. Okay, so technically Killertron managed to last the full minute and Roadblock did a suicide run but Nemesis defeated Shunt with no suicide and no out lasting it either just pure pushing power. I think what makes it more amazing is the fact that Nemesis was a jokebot and Shunt was, at the time, the most powerful House Robot in the show, this is almost the equivalent to Nuts beating Carbide, its both funny but an amazing feat all the same.

6th Diotoir vs The Steel Avenger (Series 3)[]

Diotoir vs sgt bash

A still from The Dark Knight (2008)

Heat O of Series 3 is just an awesome Heat in general, and of all the Diotoir fights from that Heat, this one is perhaps the best one. The Steel Avenger had a tough battle prior against Schumey and Diotoir had an easy battle against Sting. However, when the two clash it is evenly matched for the start of it. However, Diotoir eventually gets a good angle from the side and flips Steel Avenger over. Impressive stuff for a team that at that point never won a battle, however, the battle continues...in awesome style! Diotoir flips Sgt Bash and attacks Matilda! This in turn results in one of the best infernos ever, an inferno so good that it made it to the Ultimate Warrior. Diotoir loses half a face and then proceeds to just being obliterated by fires that consumes the whole robot in spectacular fashion. Such an amazing sight to decent victory.

5th Diotoir vs Depoppesaurus Rex (FWC - Series 3)[]

Diotoir Depoppesaurus Rex 2

Gotta admit for the time, this was a really close fight

Not only is this a great Diotoir fight but it's also fantastic fight on its own terms. Diotoir does dominate this fight a lot, but is doesn't dominate in the "it pushes its opponent about for the whole match" department, no, rather it actually gets some pretty impressive flips. But the fight isn't always in Diotor's favour with Depoppesaurus Rex managing to get some attacks in and lift Diotoir at the end. The fight is a pretty close one and has so many close calls such as the near pittings. A great fight and a brilliant display from Diotoir, showing its full potential.

4th Diotoir & Mega Morg vs King B Powerworks & 101[]

Diotoir flips 101

Just an example of Diotoir doing all the work

Yep the Terror Australis fight managed to get a higher ranking than this. So what is the reason, well the fight is a decent one but Diotoir is really the most dominating of the fight with its partner doing nothing. King B struggles to cut in and slice apart Diotoir while 101 struggled to do anything. Diotoir really shone here, able to really did hold its ground against two arguably better machines while having an extremely useless partner. Ironically this was a proper 1 vs 2 situation where the jokebot came out on top.

3rd Diotoir vs Terror Australis (Series 3)[]

Diotoir vs Terror Australis

Old vs New

This is a prime example of an Old vs New fight and a surprisingly good one! Here, Terror Australis has been replaced with Nemesis or at least in design only. Both robots go at each other with Terror Australis spinning and giving Diotoir something to struggle which is surprising but funny at the same time. Diotoir soon gets its lifter involved and skirts Terror Australis around and starts to push them to the pit. Then Diotoir fights the House Robots and catches fire. This is a short fight and is certainly lower quality than pretty much all the previous entries before it but in terms of a Diotoir fight, it is excellent, being a fight that has TWO Team Nemesis robots, namely the old Nemesis and the new Diotoir and serves as a great show of the changes and evolution of the robots, demonstrating its strengths and weaknesses in one go!

2nd Diotoir & Pussycat vs Suicidal Tendencies & The Steel Avenger (Extreme 1)[]

DiotoirPussycatvsSteelAvengerSuicidalTendencies

Fun fact: Diotoir did most of the work in this fight

Not only is it one of the greatest fights of all time, but it's also the best performance by Diotoir and Team Nemesis as a whole, winning the Tag Team with Pussycat. For the first half of the fight it is centred on Pussycat getting bullied by Suicidal Tendencies, but as soon as Diotoir comes out, not only does the tide turn in favour for the team but Diotoir manages to out perform all the robots in the arena! Diotoir dominates The Steel Avenger, flipping it over multiple times and taking the hits like it was nothing. Diotoir's intervention even gives Pussycat the confidence to push back, slicing the tip of Suicidal Tendencies' claw. Diotoir even pushed against Suicidal Tendencies to save its partner as well as just over all not giving The Steel Avenger a chance to get back up and fight. Then there's the fact Diotoir wins the fight and becomes Tag Team champion with Pussycat. An amazing performance and a dominating one to two robots who'd you'd think would beat Diotoir and Pussycat (and in a way they did beat Pussycat!) And the fact that they WON AN EVENT! But we all know what's Diotoir's best battle/moment was...

1st Diotoir vs Tornado (Series 5)[]

Diotiornado

There was no over choice, this is Diotoir's shining moment

I think everyone would agree this was Diotoir's/Team Nemesis' greatest moment. Here, Diotoir faced future champions Tornado, the seeds, the one robot that was destined to win the Heat. Tornado started off strong, bashing and shunt Diotoir about. However, despite the aggression and damage, Diotoir stood its ground and managed to push back, taking minimal damage. The fur is shredded and Diotoir is pushed about, it seems Diotoir will lose this. But Diotoir continues to hold its ground and doesn't bother to back down what so ever. It's brilliant, but soon an amazing moment comes when Tornado spinner and wheels stop, having been snagged by the fur, now Diotoir could easily push back against Tornado and in a shocking but beautiful moment, it pits Tornado. This is a true underdog fight and one which, had the pitting not happened, still would have been great, for Diotoir was really resilient and really held its ground well, through this brilliant defence it was rewarded with a fantastic and memorable win, a win that has gone down in Robot Wars history.
