Robots Live Cannock 2016

So, on Sunday the 16th of October, I went to my local leisure centre for Robots Live. I wore my signed t-shirt.

First off, Dantomkia mk3 was on display.

Went in at 3pm, seeing Ian and Sam Watts whilst I was waiting to go in and saw Heavy Metal, Carbide, Ironside3, Monte and Apocolypse on display one side and TR2 the other side.

The first fight was a friendly between Iron Heart 88 vs The Saint vs Chimera, which The Saint won.

The first Semi final was Yoton(?) vs Gabriel, which Gabriel won after Yoton over flipped and got stuck on its back.

The next Semi final was Behemoth vs TR2, which TR2 lost after the speed controller broke and Behemoth flipped it out.

The featherweights fought next and the fighting was Richie, Clank 5, ??? and Disturbance. Disturbance won after Richie was pitted, Clank got inverted and flung out by the floor flipper.

Meggamouse, Apollo and Chimera then fought a friendly with Chimera being flung over the extended wall and Meggamouse pitted itself. This was Chimera's final fight.

There was a break now and I went and bought a pen and keyring, photographing the robots on display after dropping off my new stuff into my bag.

Whilst the break was on, Wendy Brown of Team Toon came over to me and asked if I'd mind going up to the front to pick up Craig Colliass' Robot Wars 2016 outfit, I said I didn't.

First fight of the second half was boxing bots Mantis and Odin. Mantis won all three fights.

I was called down to front after Mark asked if I was there, Alex said that I had won the outfit before Craig Colliass came over in it before removing it and handing it to me. Mark said that he had expressed interest in the outfit during filming and I shook Craig's hand.

The Challenge Nut was next and Dystopia fought in its only fight of the weekend against The Saint. The Saint won within 20 seconds but proceeded to fight Goliath, ending the fight being dropped over the wall.

Dave and Mark was then talking about Doctor Who and Daleks, causing the Dalek backstage to come out and scare Dave so much he ran and sat in audience to escape it. This led to him saying that "it looks like one of those cars you see in Tesco carpark" and describing it as a Chavy Dalek, changing the legendary saying to Exreeminate.

Yoton fought TR2 in the play-off, where TR2 won after Yoton pitted itself.

Gabriel then fought Behemoth in the final, where Behemoth pitted itself.
