Thanks! Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 17:06, 13 August 2021 (UTC)

Well, I've been working at it on and off for over a year, but I've finished one of my biggest expansions, Sergeant Bash. Edit history

  • Over 130,000 characters
  • Expanded the Design section
  • Added over 100 images
  • Expanded every single Series section
  • Wrote sections for each international series
  • Added to the Outside Robot Wars section and the Trivia
  • Added behind-the-scenes information from Robot Wars Magazine, the Technical Manual, Sir Killalot and the House Robots, and other sources

And many more. Thank you. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 21:18, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

So, have I earned the badge or not? Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 18:28, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
Great work! Sgt. Bash deserved this a lot. Just one correction though, the switch from Sergeant Bash to Sgt. Bash took place in Series 3, not Extreme 1. Could you first update the Series 3 & 4 sections to reflect this, then I'll award the badge. TOAST 22:24, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, but I watched the House Robots Introductions of Heat A of Series 3 and Series 4, and his name is clearly still spelt as Sergeant Bash, whereras the stat board in Extreme 1 spells it as Sgt. Bash. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 16:52, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
After looking through the Robot Wars Magazines from Series 3 and 4, and Robot Wars: The Ultimate Guide, I decided to follow your advice, as the Sgt. spelling is used pretty consistently, albeit with some exceptions. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 21:32, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
Good points, I hadn't seen that in the Series 4 intro, but I feel like the pullback toy using Sgt. Bash on the packaging is our biggest giveaway from Series 3 onward. Thanks for making some of the fixes, I covered the rest. TOAST 00:31, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the badge Toast. Whilst working on the Sergeant Bash page, I've also been preparing an even bigger project... Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 21:51, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

  • Over 30,000 characters
  • Expanded the Design section for every version of Velocirippa
  • Expanded all the battles

Thirdly, Cold Fusion Team Edit History

  • Over 14,000 characters
  • Added information for all the team members
  • Added 10 images
  • Used a lot of different sources; the team websites, an interview on Tectonic Robot Wars, the interview with Stuart Barnwell.

Thank you. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 18:00, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

I'm still waiting for an answer on these badge requests. Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 19:05, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
As a now-an-Admin, I think I have the rights to be able to give these awards. The quality of your updates to these pages are as strong as ever, so I'm happy to say you have earned the badges excellently. Jimlaad43 10:09, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Happy to grant all! TOAST 20:53, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi Toast - not sure if it's worth a mention/noting down here, but there's now (finally) an image crop available for every Series 1+2 UK robot (main competition). Series 3 (if I get round to doing it at somepoint) will be even more of a gradual process... what started out as a simple desire to upload some HQ scans of the Series 2 Technical Manual during furlough last summer has turned into a lot more than I initially intended! Asmazif 17:28, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Don't know if this got lost in the ether, though no worries either way. Asmazif 18:30, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Nice one! I can't exactly give you the Best Design Award twice but you're doing a great job. TOAST 20:53, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Keith Millward[]

A few weeks ago, Keith Millward of Inquisitor left this message on the Inquisitor page

"***Large turning circle is not true it could spin on the spot, how do I know this....... I built it :-) Keith, also we were going to concede defeat to razor but they were so cocky in the hotel the night before we decided to take our 5 minutes of fame, only to never be allowed in the main event again, ho hum, was still fun to do***"
— Keith Millward's addition to the Inquisitor page

However, he added it to the middle of a quote. I have corrected it now, and I was going to send him a message on the Talk Page to greet him and politely inform him the right way to add things, i.e. messages like that go on the Talk Page or a blog, but as an IP without an account, he dosen't have a Talk Page.

Can you message him, welcome him to the wiki etc? Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 22:19, 31 October 2021 (UTC)

Great catch, go ahead - User talk:86.133.35.239 TOAST 14:57, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Ming 3[]

Wow, where did you find that picture of Ming 3? Great to see it is still around! Drop Zone mk2 (talk) 21:28, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
