Volker Wolf, born in Germany, served as the commentator for German Robot Wars, for all five of its episodes. He did not, however, provide commentary over the German-dubbed versions of the UK series of Robot Wars.

As the commentator of German Robot Wars, Volker Wolf would commentate every match aired within the series, and also read out battleboards, and transition between his segments and those of Jürgen Törkott.

Outside of Robot Wars, Volker Wolf has lent his voice to a variety of media, including TV and radio advertisements, TV shows such as The Fairly OddParents, films including Star Wars, and video games, including Brothers in Arms.
