Vortex Inducer was a uniquely designed competitor of Dutch Robot Wars: Series 2. It had two cutoff wedge shaped sections with a spinning disc in-between that could be positioned horizontally or vertically. Vortex Inducer was originally a tracked robot, but the treads put Vortex Inducer over the weight limit. The team removed the treads and relied on the guiding wheels for locomotion, but Vortex Inducer's traction suffered heavily from this. As a result, it barely moved in the arena and was swiftly eliminated from the wars, despite the interesting weapon configuration. The team fought in the previous Dutch series with Pathetica.

Vortex Inducer's disc was spinning, but both machines lurched forward at such a slow pace, the house robots chose to push the machines together. When the two competitors made contact, Scarab used its pincers to halt the spinning disc. It was evident that Scarab was still mobile but Vortex Inducer was not, so Refbot counted Vortex Inducer out.
Sir Killalot came in, seized the immobilised machine and picked it up before using his Jaws of Life to snap the thin axle holding Vortex Inducer together, essentially cutting it in half. The two pieces were pushed onto the floor flipper by Sergeant Bash and tossed through the air, but even then the punishment wasn't over- a kitchen cooker was dropped onto what was left the robot, before the largest chunk of Vortex Inducer was picked up and dumped out of the arena by Sir Killalot.
