Wild Willy was a purple box-wedge robot that competed in Series 3. It featured a red pickaxe weapon, which was very similar to the one used by its successor Cyrax.
Wild Willy was one of the reasons that Refbot's countdown system was introduced; it managed to immobilise its opponent, but drove into the pit before cease could be called.
Robot History
Series 3
Wild Willy started much faster than its opponent, landing several blows with its axe. It attacked Sergeant Bash while Flip Flop Fly wobbled around the arena. It then pushed Flip Flop Fly into the arena wall. One of Flip Flop Fly's tyres had been punctured, and it was immobilised. However, Wild Willy then mistakenly drove into the pit. The match ended in a judge's decision, which eliminated Wild Willy, controversially.
